Welcome to the Akeman Inn
Named after the ancient Roman road upon which it resides, The Akeman Inn in Kingswood existed as a coaching inn for 200 years, until the mid-19th century. Situated between Bicester and Aylesbury, this substantial building offers a lounge and bar area with a range of comfortable seating options and open fireplace, a modern restaurant with timber beams and an open kitchen, views of open countryside, and ample parking. We serve a seasonal, Mediterranean-inspired menu based on sustainable, quality ingredients. Traceable from farm to fork, our meat and poultry come from British farms, our eggs are free range, and our fish is responsibly sourced from suppliers approved by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). An extensive range and variety of dishes are made in our open kitchen, which features a charcoal-fuelled Josper grill, while our trained pizzaiolos freshly prepare and cook Neapolitan pizza in our bespoke wood-fired oven. Sympathetically designed, and with the low timber beams intact, our lounge and bar area provides a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, from coffee brewed with Rainforest Alliance certified ThreeSixty Rainforest Blend, to the finest Dom Pérignon. A range of lighter nibbles such as Halloumi chips, pork belly bites, and Focaccia Al Aglio are served all day. In our carpark you'll find a Vehicle Charging point provided by Pod Point making The Akeman Inn the perfect pitstop for both you and your electric vehicle. The Akeman Inn proudly sponsors our local Westcott Cricket Club.

Register your interest for bar and waiting jobs
We will be looking for Bar and Waiting crew once the renovation is complete and we are closer to opening our doors. Register your interest by completing the form and we'll get in touch when we have full information about the positions available and the timings of our opening.
With the help of the AllTrails App, we are planning to create a circular walk from the pub and through the surrounding area, to help you work up that thirst/appetite. You will be able to view the walk details via a number of ways (varying levels of tech savviness required -Ed)
