Service and Bookings

First off, life revolves around the bar, so that's where to head for drinks, menus and to find out where you're sitting if you've booked.

For dining or drinks inside the pub you have the choice of our dining room or lounge / bar area when booking – we always try and hold a few tables back for drinks and customers not able to book in advance.

During the warmer months we have a lovely courtyard garden. Outside tables are not reservable and allocated on a first come first served basis.

Dogs

Dogs of the ‘well behaved and on the leash’ variety are most welcome in our garden and bar area where we serve our full daily menu.

We unfortunately cannot accommodate dogs in our restaurant. If booking online and bringing a dog, please add a note in the special request box letting us know you require a dog friendly table.

We don't have a car park ourselves, but there are plenty of Pay & Display options close by:

Tring Train Station is around 1.5 miles from the pub (a short taxi away), with regular direct trains to London Euston, plus services to Watford Junction, Milton Keynes Central and Birmingham New Street.

Children and minors

The Tufted Duck is a family friendly environment, but we do ask that your children are closely supervised at all times.

Families are most welcome in areas away from the bar. We have baby changing facilities and if you would like a highchair, please request one when you book. During the evenings our pub is primarily an adult environment.

We're particularly popular for family Sunday lunches and reservations are advised.

Prams and Pushchairs

Due to the constricted nature of some of the dining areas, we ask you to let us know if you have pram or push chair when you make a reservation so we can try and accommodate you.
