Manager
Charlie joined us as General Manager in March, bringing seven years of hospitality experience and a calm, hands-on approach to the team.
Outside of work, he’s a huge motorbike enthusiast — and if you ever spot him not wearing Carhartt or Dickies, please let us know, because we’re fairly sure it’s all he owns. Friendly, hardworking, and always keeping things running smoothly, Charlie’s settled into the family in no time.
Deputy Manager
Tim is one of our Deputy Managers, helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes and out on the floor day to day. Always approachable and happy to lend a hand, he’s a reliable face around the pub and someone both the team and customers know they can count on. Whether he’s supporting the staff during a busy service or making sure guests feel looked after, Tim plays a huge part in keeping the atmosphere welcoming and the service on top form.
Deputy Manager
Ellie brings over 15 years of hospitality experience to her role as Deputy Manager, and we’re thrilled to have her back at The Tufted Duck in management. Known for her warm, approachable nature and exceptional service, Ellie is someone both the team and customers instantly feel comfortable around. Experienced, welcoming, and always ready to help, she’s a huge part of what makes the pub feel like home.
Trainee Assistant Manager
Meet Ben — recently promoted from bartender to supervisor, and always bringing the laughs along with top-notch service. A gym enthusiast with a great sense of humour, he’s a favourite behind the bar for both his banter and his brilliant cocktail specials. Keep an eye out for his latest creations next time you visit.
Restaurant Team Member
Monty is one of our dedicated bartenders, although you’ll often spot him helping out in the restaurant too — always wherever he’s needed most. Hardworking, reliable, and a real team player, he’s become a big part of day-to-day life at The Tufted Duck. Alongside delivering great service, Monty has also taken on managing our social media platforms, helping showcase everything going on behind the scenes and around the pub.
Bar Team Member
Steph has been part of the team for around three years, bringing plenty of laughs and great service. As one of our bartenders — and resident quiz master — she’s known for being bright, smiley, and always on top of things behind the bar.
Special mention also goes to Daisy, her dog, who’s basically become an honorary staff member at this point.
Bar Team Member
Bringing the energy behind the bar is Micah. She’s been with us for just over a year, but has already become a huge part of the family. When she’s not shaking up cocktails, she’s training to become a beauty therapist — and spending any spare time she gets relaxing in the pub garden with a Rosé and lemonade in hand.
Senior Head Chef
Leading the kitchen is Matt, our Head Chef and chief bringer of sass and banter. While keeping the chefs in line and the kitchen running smoothly, he’s also the talent behind the excellent food coming out of the pass. Quick-witted, passionate, and never short of a comment, Matt keeps both the team — and the customers — well fed and entertained.
Junior Sous
Lynne is our Junior Sous Chef and an important part of the kitchen team, helping keep everything organised, efficient, and running smoothly during service. Calm under pressure, hardworking, and always ready to get stuck in, she brings great energy to the kitchen and plays a big role in delivering the quality food our customers enjoy every day.
Chef de Partie
Luke is our pizza chef and the man behind some of the favourite dishes coming out of the kitchen. Passionate about great food and always focused on quality, he keeps the pizzas flowing during busy services with skill and consistency. Whether it’s a classic favourite or a special creation, Luke makes sure every pizza leaves the kitchen spot on.
