Overlooking the market square in the historic town of Witney, The Blue Boar is a sensitively restored 17th-century Cotswold coaching inn, freshly renovated and better than ever. The building has been painstakingly brought back to life, with original features sitting comfortably alongside a fresh, contemporary look that does justice to a pub with this much history behind it.

Open daily from 7am for breakfast, and from noon for the full daily menu, the kitchen is headed up by Head Chef Andy and his team, cooking freshly prepared dishes from the grill and wood-fired oven, from hand-crafted pizzas to seasonal pub favourites, alongside a strong selection of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. The Sunday roast is well worth planning a trip for.

The bar is stocked with craft beers, real ales, wines, cocktails and spirits, and when the weather plays ball, the courtyard is one of the better spots in Witney to sit with a drink or a bite to eat.

For private events, the newly refurbished Bosworth Suite can accommodate up to 40 guests for a sit-down meal or 75 standing, and is well suited to everything from birthday celebrations to corporate meetings. Talk to Curtis and the team about what you have in mind.
