Service and Bookings

First off, for us life revolves around the bar, so that's where to head for drinks, menus and to find out where you're sitting if you've booked.

For dining or drinks inside the pub you have the choice of our restaurant, pub dining or to choose from when booking – we always try and hold a few tables back for drinks and customers not able to book in advance.

During the warmer months we have our lovely heated and covered restaurant terrace at the front, which has full table service and is bookable. Adjacent to our main bar is our pub garden where tables are not reservable and allocated on a first come first served basis. Service here is pay and order at the bar.

Do you allow dogs?

Dogs of the ‘well behaved and on the leash’ variety are most welcome in our garden, pub dining and bar area where we serve our full daily menu.

We unfortunately cannot accommodate dogs in our restaurant or our hotel rooms. If booking online and bringing a dog, please add a note in the special request box letting us know you require a dog friendly table.

Parking and Public Transport

We have onsite parking for hotel and restaurant guests. The car park is controlled by an ANPR camera system – it is important to register your number plate on entry to the pub for free parking.

Martins Heron station is the closest train station, just under a mile from the pub (around a 15–20 minute walk), with regular South Western Railway services to London Waterloo, Reading and Guildford. Ascot station is a little further afield and a good option on race days, with a direct bus from outside the station running roughly every 30 minutes and dropping off right outside the pub.

The Royal Foresters bus stop is directly outside the front of the pub on London Road, served by Thames Valley Buses route 703 and White Bus route X94.

Children and Minors

The Royal Foresters is a family friendly environment, but we do ask that your children are closely supervised at all times.

Families are most welcome in areas away from the bar. We have baby changing facilities and if you would like a highchair, please request one when you book.

During the evenings our pub is primarily an adult environment – children are not permitted in the bar side after 7pm.

We’re directly opposite Lapland UK and very popular with visiting families during the festive period.

Prams and pushchairs

Due to the constricted nature of some of the dining areas, we ask you to let us know if you have pram or push chair when you make a reservation so we can try and accommodate you on a table with plenty of space.
