A meeting place in the heart of Ascot for over 140 years, this historic building has been refurbished and redesigned. A place where the past meets the present, and where log fires meet wood-fired pizza. Join us for a special occasion or just a simple bite to eat and a couple of drinks in the bar.
The bar side is for relaxed pub dining, with cosy log fires and craft beers aplenty — the spot for after-work cocktails, a pint by the fire, or a Sunday roast. It opens straight out onto our pub terrace, a popular place to gather with friends and family for a few sundowners.
The restaurant sits at the heart of the Royal Foresters. Light and airy, with views onto its own restaurant terrace, where we serve alfresco all summer long.
The kitchen is headed up by Head Chef Matt and his team. Our freshly prepared daily menu runs from wood-fired pizzas and pasta to flexitarian salads and seasonal dishes from the grill, alongside gastro-pub favourites — all using good quality, responsibly sourced ingredients.
The Royal Foresters has 24 bespoke guest rooms, each with contemporary interiors and luxury finishes. We also have several flexible function spaces for celebrations, meetings or family gatherings. Ascot Racecourse is just down the road, with Legoland, Windsor Castle, Swinley Forest and Wentworth Golf Club all close by.
Whether you're staying the night, stopping in for lunch, or winding down after a day out, you'll find a warm welcome from General Manager Stephan and his crew.

Acorn Pubs
Acorn pubs are a collection of 10 pubs, 6 of which offer bedrooms, which sit primarily in the home counties. We could be described as ‘modern pubs’, with an extensive range of draft beers, wines and cocktails with a great menu of freshly cooked Mediterranean-inspired food, which centres around our wood-fired ovens and charcoal grills, using traditional cooking techniques and sustainably sourced produce.
Our buildings range from modern to historic, all rejuvenated into contemporary spaces that fit the needs of the communities they serve.
Whether our customers are catching up with friends over drinks, treating the family to Sunday roast in our restaurant, or escaping for a couple of nights to one of our hotels, we pride ourselves on offering the perfect, quality environment to suit, and warm, friendly hospitality.
