Stephan

General Manager

Stephan has been proudly leading the team as General Manager for the past two years, bringing passion, dedication, and a real love for the venue into everything he does. He truly loves everything about The Royal Foresters, from the community feel to creating memorable experiences for every guest who walks through the doors.

When he’s not running the show, Stephan enjoys spending quality time with his family and keeping active with friends. You’ll most likely find him on the paddle court, as paddle is one of his favourite ways to unwind and stay social.

With his hands‑on approach, positive energy, and commitment to both the team and guests, Stephan is a big part of what makes The Royal Foresters what it is today.

Francesca

Assistant Manager

Fran has been with the business for 5 years and has worked her way up through dedication and hard work. She is a key part of the crew, bringing experience, reliability, and a positive attitude to the team. In her time off, Fran loves to travel and explore new places.

Jason

Supervisor

Jason is our Bar Supervisor and brings great passion and knowledge to all things bar-related. He plays an important role in supporting the team, maintaining high standards, and ensuring smooth service. Jason’s enthusiasm and experience make him a valued member of the Royal Foresters crew.

When he’s not at work, you’ll often find him spending time with friends doing some well-earned “market research.”

Matt

Senior Head Chef

Matt has been leading the kitchen at The Royal Foresters for the past five years, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a clear passion for great food. As Head Chef, he plays a vital role in setting standards, mentoring the team, and ensuring consistency and quality across every service. With years of hands‑on experience, Matt’s leadership in the kitchen is built on skill, organisation, and a deep understanding of both the craft and the business.

Outside of the kitchen, Matt is just as driven. He’s a keen marathon runner, regularly taking on new challenges, and values spending time with his family, including his two young daughters, who keep him busy when he’s not at work.

Max

Junior Sous

Max has been a fantastic example of dedication and progression within the kitchen team. Starting out as a young Commis Chef, Max successfully completed his apprenticeship and has steadily worked his way up to the role of Junior Sous Chef through hard work, consistency, and a real passion for food. Max is proud of his journey in the kitchen and continues to develop his leadership skills, supporting the team and contributing positively to the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen.

When he’s not at work, Max enjoys spending time with friends at the pub or channelling his competitive nature through racquet sports — especially padel, where his love of competition really shines.

Tracey

Hotel Manager

Tracey is the heart of the hotel side of the business and a true powerhouse when it comes to keeping things running smoothly. As Hotel Manager, she brings a calm, confident presence to the team and leads with a balance of professionalism, warmth, and humour that makes her an absolute pleasure to work with.

She’s incredibly organised, always on top of bookings, guest needs, and the million moving parts that come with running a hotel – and she does it all with a smile. Tracey’s attention to detail and commitment to providing a top-notch guest experience are second to none.
